Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness

The human region of Stormwind had suffered defeat at the feet of the Horde. Knight Champion Anduin Lothar collected the existing remains of the human armed forces and guided the refugees to the north over the Great Sea to the kingdom of Lordaeron. By recruiting the help of other factions around the world - humans, gnomes, elves, and dwarves - Lothar aided the form a excellent Alliance to stand up in opposition to the orcs and their ruthless new leader, Orgrim Doomhammer. The apparently unbeatable Horde carried on its rampage, strengthening its developing armed forces with savage trolls and brutish ogres. But, on the eve of triumph, Gul'dan and his supporters selfishly deserted their fellow members of the Horde to search for  powerful artifacts, pressuring the vulnerable Horde to retreat. Doomhammer briefly rallied the orcs when he butchered Lothar in a traumatic battle, but the hero's demise would not break the Alliance's resolution. Turalyon, Lothar's devoted lieutenant, swiftly had taken up command of Azeroth's defenders and last but not least conquered the Horde.
